What is SMRT-CORE?
PDF Print E-mail

SMRT-CORE self myofascial release therapy and core stability work all at the same time in the same class.

Traditional core work needs to be put on the shelf and true total functional core work needs to be implemented into the daily workouts of athletes and non-athletes a like.

If you want to be active for your entire life, confidence is the driving force to success. At the end of the day, if your not confident your muscles can do the job you ask them to do, compromise can occur. This compromise can come from the muscles inability to do its job due to lack of elasticity or lack of functional strength.

Cassidy has been fortunate enough to work with some of the top athletes around the world and there are two things that he educates them on: Self Massage and Core work.

These are the reasons he created SMRT-CORE an incredible combination of core stability exercises and self-myofascial release therapy.

Many people have seen or experienced the benefits of core stability workouts. Traditionally these exercises were performed while laying on the ground. Exercises like sit-ups and crunches were considered the most effective way to increase core abdominal strength. As exercise has evolved so has the approach to building core stability.

Products like the stability ball began to hit the market and gave the fitness consumer a way to increase the intensity of their core workouts through manipulation of traditional core exercises. With proper positioning, a person can focus intensity to very specific abdominal muscle while relieving stress to the lower back.

Massage has also established itself as a necessity for proper recovery and range of motion. By increasing bloodflow to specific muscle groups, massage can greatly increase your bodies ability to maintain elasticity and range of motion and can also aid in recovery.

Through the development of our legendary foam roller The Grid, we provide you with a tool that can greatly increase your core strength and stability while providing you with an incredible soft tissue massage.  SMRT-CORE DVD's are one of the most effective ways to build a total body workout, through core stability exercises married with self massage.  Follow along while Cassidy Phillips takes you through the most effective way to utilize The Grid in these amazing DVD.  It will leave you amazed at the capabilities of this incredible tool!!
